I use my iPhone for 99% of my websurfing, simply because my 3 year old keeps me busy 99%of the time.
I'm sure there are others that use the cell phone, BB, iPod touch/iPhone to surf also.

Is there any chance TM3 can go mobile?

I know cwp_sedan tested this app, and was not impressed, that's why we have not set it up.

Ryan, care to share your story as to why you weren't impressed? I just installed this last night and so far I like it. The mazdaspeed forum and NASIOC are listed there as well, not sure what the problem is.

I tried it and it was a pain to navigate with. I mean I prefer just viewing it in Safari but something is weird with the heading sizes. I also had it crash way too much. Personally I think it's not as great as I thought it was going to be.

Default user, have you actually tried the program?

No I haven't - not paying for it unless TM3 is on it. It's the only forum I use.

And I don't necessarily mean that specific app.
A lot of websites are "mobile device" friendly such as google, Amazon, facebook, etc. that makes viewing a lot easier for handhelds.
There's no specific app for it - the website automatically detects that you are viewing from a mobile device and converts.

It was just a random thought when my buddy was loving the Porno for iPhone site. LOL!! Porn-on-the-go....stuck in traffic? Porn-on-the-go!

There is a test version that is Read-Only and it's free on itunes. I would suggest trying it out and compare it at the same time to it live on your computer. It will give you and idea of how it works.

I'm not sure how most sites create or operate their "mobile" version, whether it's a second built version or if it's just changed on the fly. I would need to have more information on it.

I personally think it's awesome. No more pinching to resize if you can't read the text.. It haven't crashed on me either, well, not just yet.

I reinstalled it now and it seems to be ok so far. There was just an update for my non-jailbroken (correct term?) phone and it may have helped. Either way It doesn't seem to crash now but who knows. The only real issue I have with it is that anything with a ling heading or title gets cut off.

We will look into it and see. Everyone with a legit phone OS will have to buy the app though and that may be a concern for most people.

Are you referring to the tapatalk App for the iPhone? This thread is about the forum and that app.

We can't do anything for the speed on your phone. Sorry.

Yeah viewing TM3 on iPhone Safari is definitely slower.

I saw the tap talk.. $2.99? Pfffff. I bet it's not even compatible unless you have 3.0. How come EVERY APP needs 3.0 now??? So annoying. I refuse to pay for it. lol

This is why we were debating setting it up. I doubt a lot of people will want to pay for the App. I may but I would just use Safari. I don't find it all that slow. The updated layout does have more intense graphics (size wise that is) which may cause more of a loading time. Who knows.

Both the plug-in and the iPhone App have been updated.

The changes are:
- Ability to Search topics within a forum
- Ability to mark all the unread topics as Read
- Ability to display all the unread topics of the user
- Add Announcement support (phpBB forums only)
- Performance improvement
- On-going Interface Update

My too. I bought it and I barely use it. I use it more for testing. I think other than this, I bought a $.99 video camera app for my 3G and that's it! Everything else has been free lol.

does it give you a specific error? Or does it just not go through? I'm wondering if it is not logging you in correctly..

Can't help you much there. We don't really support mobile devices. We have tried to implement specifics for the iPhone and possibly the BlackBerry. Other than that you're on your own. Sorry.

EDIT: Unless it is a connection issue, etc Like Ami just mentioned.

I don't think I'm too interested in creating a WAP version but thanks for the links anyway.
