I'm looking for some mechanics/shops that come highly recommended for Brakes, for a good price. My budget isn't very big and I need to get rotors and brakes done. I'm hoping to get it done for $300.

Jimmy will charge you labour, but you'll likely want to source your own parts. If you're looking for parts and labour at $300 you might have a tough time finding that kind of deal.

If you're interested I have my oem pads and rotors with about 10k kms on them; shoot me a PM.

Sorry, I forgot to mention, this is not for a mazda3. It's acutally for a 93 Celica GTS that I'm looking into buying. But either way, I'm glad to know whom I can talk to in the future if I ever need any brake stuff done on a mazda 3 or other.

check http://www.celispeed.com/ if you haven't already. they might have different vendors for parts, I am unsure as I didn't check. Either way Jimmy does good work.

As others have said, buy the brakes and then take them to Jimmy at Street Performance. Pretty sure Jim charges $50.00 per end to install new pads and rotors. So, if doing front and rear, you'll be looking aorund $100.00 labour. To be sure, call Jim and get him to quote you.

I think I can pull off $200 for rotors and pads if you are only looking for OEM spec replacement and not high performance ones for the Celica

and Jimmy can probably install it for $100

we are very close to each other anyways

Thanks all for the recommendations. I've called Street Performance a couple times today, and once the other day, but the phone just rings and then goes to a recording :(
Anyone know of another number to contact them at?

Call Jim's cell phone directly. 416-450-6161. If he doesn't answer, leave a message and he will call you back. Usually within 24hrs.
