btw,is hairdryer hot enough to heat the paint to prevent cracking or a heatgun is necessary

You can rent a proper fender roller from nextmod. You want to get your paint up in the range of 125 - 140 degrees to roll the fenders; but that said, I can't tell you if a hair dryer will heat the paint to that temp.

I used to use a towel wrapped around a baseball bat and my buddy's sisters hair dryer to roll the fenders on our civics. Mind you - this was a 91, 93 and 96 Civic that had super thin tin sheet metal.

These Fender finishers looks more like it folds or pinches the fender in - as if using padded pliers. Rather than rolling the fenders up and in.
If that's the case, I think it will fold/pinch the outside of your fender also.

Dang! Try contacting PSI tuning or WolverineOttawa and see if they know anyone who can hook you up. They are a little ways from you, but they might know someone. Also try mazda quebec forums, if you haven't already. I suppose you could go with the baseball bat, but it is a brutal approach to rolling fenders (maybe get PVC pipe as it's softer). The key is to make sure your paint is up to temp; that said, with this car it is highly likely no matter what temp you get the paint to, it will crack.

I'd use a roller...and I agree, our paint is shit...best forget a hair-dryer and wait til summer...leave the car outside in the sun...

Also, if you get a rolller, you can rent it out to your local board to re-coup your costs...

When rolling your fenders on the Mazda 3, you have to assume your paint will crack. Even body shops I had spoken with who do fender rolling said, 99% chance your paint will crack.

maybe it's wiser just to cut the inner fender part...

or just roll them and put these on after
