A couple months ago a ring fell down inbetween my cup holders. what is the best way to take apart the centre console to get to underneath the cupholders.
I noticed there were 2 screws in my console, do i start there. Nothing i could find in manual to help.
first car, not too keen on just prying @ plastic and hoping it pops back into place nicely.
any advice great
thanks!

I'm pretty sure you have a 2010.

if you have an '04 to '09 mazda3, open your arm rest/center console, then, pull up (with a bit of force) on the cup holders. it should just pop up.

hopefully that works for you!

oh, and welcome to the forum! :D

Okay so, based on my reading :

I will go home tonight, open up the lid on the centre console, then just pull up on the cup holder/ E-brake cover? should i use a screw driver and pry or pull from the holders or something. I am just worried about really pulling and damaging the plastic. I want it to look the same when I put er back together.

I wouldn't use a screw driver as you may end up scratching the finish. The cup holders should just pop out by hand quite easily.

Cool, thanks alot!

All the advice is appreciated. I was looking @ that other thread and it looks like a basic disassembly.

thanks again!
