Apparantly there's a bounty of 10,000 no questions asked for who ever has Crosby's gear that was tossed after the game.

to Crosby im sure 10,000 is nothing...

I feel a Mastercard priceless promo happening.

:chuckle... If he is an idiot I would not be suprised if he is the type of person to sell his 50 million dollar ticket for 20,000.00

Reebok is putting up the money so it's not like it's coming out of Crosby's pocket. Also the stick and gloves don't belong to Crosby so he won't be seeing them anyway. Anyone who tries to sell them will be in huge trouble so that would be a bad idea to try and sell them.

They will either be found like his Jersey was in 2005, or someone will hang on to them for personal worth and you won't see them again.

They will be sold in the black market. They won't come out until after 20 years or so when they are worth $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

LOL like the stick Crosby used in that game is the only stick of its kind ever made. everyother person and there mom could have that exact same model reebok stick saying its Crosby's gold medal stick. there is simply no way to prove it.

They will be sold in the black market. They won't come out until after 20 years or so when they are worth $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Odds are if they've gotten into the black market for collectibles - it may never be seen again by the public - that's what usually happens when paintings and antiquities 'end up' in private collections that are not sold publically. Think Indiana Jones "That belongs in a museum".

The only reason it may end up back in the public's eyes is because a child of the original black market purchaser may come forward because they 'found' (as in either a conscious or they're out of cash so need some) in the attic them - natually, they'll have a 'legit' story as to how dad got his hands on them in the first place.

But how does one prove they have the real item.

But how does one prove they have the real item.

That's always the grey area for collectibles... no easy answer on that - maybe DNA from Crosby?

Crosby's gear found
Hockey Canada says it was misplaced rather than stolen
By CHRIS JOHNSTON The Canadian Press
Wed. Mar 10 - 3:56 PM
Sidney Crosby's missing stick and glove have been found.

Hockey Canada says Crosby's missing Olympic equipment were misplaced rather than stolen.

Crosby's stick was accidentally placed in a shipment bound for the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in St. Petersburg, Russia, that ended up getting intercepted in Toronto.

And one of his gloves was put in a bag belonging to Patrice Bergeron, who sat beside him in the locker-room.

The items were misplaced in the chaos following Crosby's overtime goal in the Olympic gold-medal game on Feb. 28.

After the gear went missing, an investigation was launched and Reebok put up a $10,000 reward for the stick.

x2 i think he is just sick of the questions and said yes that was his stick so that the media buzz goes away and it instantly devalues the real stick if it was in fact stolen as no nobody will want to buy a stick when crosby is quoted saying he has the real one back
