where to pick up acc. power under the hood.

Hey guys,
I just installed my fogs today which was rather easy, except for a few issues. I didn't want to tap into the 12v from the dimmer switch(orange wire) cause i've read it causes the relay to click due to lack of power(when you dim the interior lights). So for a temporary fix, I've wired it directly back to the battery so i didn't have loose cables floating around under the hood. I need to know if i can pick up temp power from somewhere under the hood? ie fuse box? and if so which wire/wires would i be able to do so off of. I've never tapped into a fuse box before so please mind my noobish question lol.

just take the power from the battery for 12v always there and then you have to use the switch to turn it on and off. Or tap into your yellow ignition wire behind the radio like i did for my amp and then the fogs will turn off when the car is off

How much work is it to get behind the radio? Is there a how to link someone could post up?

The only reason I wanna pick up switched power is cause the switch I got- the illumination isn't working. It just flashes for a split second but only when turning them off.

mine doesnt work either i dont like it because the light is white. but the radio is easy take off the long trim piece just pops off and a hook on the right side, then i believe 2 screws then it slides out and then take the yellow as your ignition (double check with testers)

The long trim piece being the glossy piece that goes above the glove box?
