Petro Can Super washed my wiper off

Well, since my co-workers and I invested in the 90 day Petrocan Super Wash, today was my day. Go in as usual, and half way through hear a "snap". I'm like WTF, come out and see that the spin brushes snagged my hatch wiper and ripped it off, snapping the plastic housing. So I get the guy, he looks at it and SHOCKINGLY says, "go to Mazda, get a new one, don't have them install it, bring it to me, i'll install it, and re-emburse you".

From what I understood, you go through car washes at your own risk, so I didn't wait a second for him to change his mind or someone else to be there when I came some other day and not be so helpfull. So I jet to the closest dealership (Prima), picked up the part ($45 - ouch).....jet back to Petro, he installs it and gives me the cash. On top he gives me a wiper condom for next time.....A+++ customer service!!

Kind of a headache but could have been alot worse.

that happened to me 2 years ago in my civic hatch lol i went like 20 mins away and turned it on and heard metal on glass and was like wtf but for me it was just the blade

When you go to the car wash and they put little plastic bags over your wipers as protection from the "dangers" of the car wash machine.

"aw **** they put one of them damn wiper condoms on my car again! now I have to not be lazy and go take it off"

Lol, no I figured it out, but seriously? a little baggie for your wiper? I fail to see how that will stop the powerful brushes from ripping it off.....

I was going to start one of these threads (or add to this one http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?41397-Touchless-car-wash-ripped-my-front-plate-off...&highlight=petro+cover) a week or two ago, but decided not to.

Which Petro did you go to?

Reason being, my mom's REAR license cover got ripped off at one of the Glide washes. (Yes, rear. Front, I would understand more, but the back one is like indented into the trunk!) She didn't even know the cover was missing until I noticed. I was going to go back the next day and make a huge fuss, but I didn't bother. There are also little marks from what appears as the license plate bouncing off the car after it got snapped.

I'm sure it's too late to do anything now, but it's good to know that they DO listen.

Yup, but we also pity you when you need to take advantage of toronto's downtown life...have to drive in traffic 1 hr, find parking for $20, leave your keys with a pothead, have it scratched by a drunken tool, not be able to drink, not be able to leave a club/lounge/rest/ etc and be in bed in 15 min.......hmmm.....much more but I'm hungry....

The thing i cant stand about toronto is how much of your life is waisted standing in lines or sitting in traffic.. you wait in line everywhere for everything... yet there is nothing you can get in T.O. that I cant get here in Niagara Falls
