God of War 3 feedback

Alright, I picked up GOW3 yesterday and spent an hour on it.

Damn that is one great looking game. Its one of those games that are truly epic that will have you say "holy crap" multiple times. If anyone thought the first two games were brutal with its violence and gore, this one takes it over the top. Innards come out when you slice open a belly and the hand to hand fight with posieden is something I have never seen in my years of gaming.

Between these fights, and fighting the smaller enemies, its the same old GOW. Looks to be a great end to the series!

the demo was alright... i haven't play that style of game before, so I don't really know what to expect in a full-version. There seem to be a few similar games lately: Brutal Legend, Darksiders, Dante's Inferno.... I really don't know what "genre" they would even fit into. I won't be buying GOW unless I can get it used for cheap.

Although I had to start over playing on the Spartan (Easy) level! WTF??!! It's to damn hard to get passed the freaking water demon when trying to save Gaia!!!
I am about 3 hours in. Awesome stuff.

I'll be looking to sell my copy in a few weeks as well.

Generally speaking, videogames don't cause real bodily harm. But this X-ray, sent to us by a physician, proves that God of War III can break actual bones.


I had a patient who was so caught up in playing God of War III that he rolled over his hand with his knee and broke two fingers. The radiograph is attached (with his information omitted and arrows that point to the fractures). First time I've seen such an extreme gaming injury.
But in all actuality, it's probably just the first time someone admitted to such an extreme gaming injury.

Protip: If you ever break your hand doing something no sturdy person would break their hand doing, be sure to namedrop "bar fight" and "minotaur."

Thanks for the offer but already have Drake 2. One of the best games I played in 2009.

GOW3 is just epic. Played a few more hours yesterday and try to get some game play in when I can.

Well I got GOW yesterday, my gf came over and we beat it in 9 hours... only 9 hours for $60 + tax.... what a waste. Mass Effect 1 and 2 were both 30+ hours and had replay value...
I'm going to ebgames to trade it in today...

Just played the Demo last night... Seems easier than the previous versions... took all of 10 mins to pass.

Graphics are awesome, worth playing it but I will also wait for used prices to drop before I pick it up.
