Few days ago I started hearing a funny noise coming from beneath the car when accelerating and turning. Went to SP and was told that the fiberglass inside of my resonator is somehow broken and the only fix would be to buy a new one. This is where it gets complicated. The previous TM3 owner doesn't have the receipt so replacing it under 'lifetime warranty' is out of the question. I've contacted the magnaflow hq and was told that individual parts are not sold due to low demand. :bang
I love the magnaflow cbe sound so if anyone knows of a good replacement for this resonator, it would be greatly appreciated...
I read that vibrant resonator would make my cbe A LOT lOUDER (is this true? yes?no?)
I actually wouldn't mind getting other brands that would give me same or deeper tone.
I googled but nothing useful came out of it... HELP!!!

i had the same thing happen to my magnaflow catback. i just removed the resonator. it sounds better now.
for what its worth, you have to ship the whole catback to magnaflow, and they're based out of California.

I have a Magnaflow as well. Love the sound as well. I had it installed about 2 months a go and the sound gets a little louder and deeper as time goes by. So anyway whats the life expectancy of the resonator? Better save the factory unit. should of save the magnaflow packaging as well.

I got a magnaflow as well but I actually feel like the sound got quite rather than louder on mine lol. Or maybe I'm just to used to it.

i thought my resonator bit the dust because of my header i had. but, i guess now. maybe magnaflow is just a bit on the cheap side....

Adding a resonator to my HKS made it quieter, its just a genaric performance one from Hot Rod Scotts

hey they are actually close to my place... do you mind me asking how much they charged you for the resonator?
okay so since getting the original magnaflow resonator is impossible i'm thinking of replacing it with 'vibrant ultra quiet' resonator... i've read that it produces a deeper tone unlike the regular bottle vibrant res... can someone who has this res please confirm this? :)

I had my magnaflow resonator on full MF CBE replaced with Vibrant one.
It gives you the unique growl of Vibrant in MF's low rumbling tone, as well as a little more loudness.
Let me know if you want to check up the sound in person.

sounds clips never sound as good as they do in person.
take a spin in his car, or watch him drive it around.
