I've looked in the shop bible and it shows it to be mounted to one of the bumper mounts, but I physically can't see it from above ???!!!!

Anyone know exactly where it is located on a 2006 Hatch before I start a tear down to find it ?

All I probably need to do is clean up the contact wire.

Thanks in advance for the info!

No need to remove bumper. There is a flap underneath bumper, jackup ca, support, undo some screws, and pull back the flap. That is how I did it.
Check your fuses first, if you have not already.

Not so, bible says to pull back mud flap.

We're getting close!

Checked my fuses... I know it's a corroded connection thing by the farting sounds it made before pooching out. Why the fack Mazda would hide a horn down at nearly ground level is beyond me!

Thanks, guys!

It's actually pretty well protected.... in any case, when it says mudflap.... pull the drivers- side wheel , pull the fasteners from the fender liner and pop it loose.

Actually, I just want it to work. It quit yesterday. It made a few feeble ngggggggggggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggg ggggg gggrrrrrrmmmmmnnnnnggg sounds - then quit.

But I think I may put on a hella-va horn or two.

The kind that blow girlies' skirts up and make their titties perk out at crosswalks. :bana2

Not quite. I said:

'Girlies, you boob!' (pun intended)

You'd need 18 horns, four surgeons, and a truck load of silicone to make that happen!

I checked around before I did my SRI install and I found this 2004 Mazada 6 dual horn assembly for $40 new at Mazda. Since I new that I was going to locate, slay, and remove the 20 lb. plastic octopus air breather apparatus found in the front left nose of the car, and ... I installed this at the same time. The only mod you have to do once the void is created in the left front nose of the vehicle is to realign the horns to face down, and grind off the little hook you see in the pic.

It's loud enough that it does the skirt thing that I was looking for, and it's louder than a drunken Irish woman.

I should know, I married one.

It's freakin' loud.

Keep the Mazda6 dual horn assembly and add Hella's too. Plenty of titty perking then.

Keeee-ryst! That would deafen the poor lass, or even worse, blow the silicone right outta her!

... set off the air bags, so-to-speak.

I had to use them today on the way to work, as asshat in the Caddy was changing lanes without signalling or looking (you can buy that priveledge as a $500 Cadillac option by the way). Good thing there was a center turning lane (5 lane highway), as he would have drove me into oncoming traffic.

I swerved, cursed, and damn near slammed the horn button right through the steering shaft, and scared the fackin' wig right off the pr*ck. He actually looked up, instead of sideways.

He was so rattled that he pulled over to re-adjust the weasel on his head.

mazdilla strikes again.

Are they any audio clips around? I want to replace my horn.... Hellas are loud but I don't really like the sound... I am hoping the Mazda 6 dual horns isn't just louder but doesn't sound like a pair of asthmatic weasels sneezing.

There are plenty of audio clips around. Simply find someone in a 2004 Mazda 6 and cut him off. That should work ...

or a less aggressive approach would be to ...

Go find a 2004 Mazda 6 on a used car lot, pretend your interested and beep the horn.

Another idea is to add low tone to your oem for less than $20. Sound and how to clips are available in youtube
