sorry, I know this was talked about somewhere else but I can't find the thread. I need to go get an oil change and I want to go to Street Performance and bring in my own oil.
1) The oil I need is 5W30, right?? I don't think there are any other types for the engine. Yeah, I know.. dumb question but I just want to make sure.
2) Is 4L enough?? I thought I remember reading that we need like 4.5L.
3) Does anybody have any particular brand that they recommend (like Castrol or Quaker State) or are they all the same??
Thanks!!
Edit: Sorry, I forgot to mention that I have a 2005 2.3 (Sport GT).

doh, I just saw the stickied thread about oil.. I see that there is 0W30, 15W30, etc.. but we should be OK with 5W30, right?? Thanks again.

I'm not sure what year your car is or which engine. But if I'm not mistaken they call for 5W20 now on the non-speeds.
I used 5W20 Pennzoil Platinum in the wife's 2.3. Greatly respected oil, IMO the best Group III out there. I personally don't see the need to go Group IV unless you track your car or it's turbo'd. You can get it a any Walmart too which is a plus.
Good luck with your decision. :)

+1 for the price, you can't go wrong with Pennzoil Platinum
1) the manual (and oil cap) on the MZ3 says 5w20, but you can use 5w30
2) you'll need 4.4L (or 4.5 quarts)
3) readily available at CT or Wal-Mart: Pennzoil Platinum, 0w30 Castrol Syntec (says Made in Germany on the back of the bottle), Mobil1

Thanks for all the answers!! This helps out a lot.
I'll have to run over to Walmart to see what they have. I remember seeing mostly 5W30 on the shelves at Canadian Tire but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention.
