View Full Version : 2010 Shift Shock going to 1st
Hi,
I have a 2010 3 GX with around 10000km on it. Got it back in Oct. I has an auto transmission. I noticed that whenever I come to a stop or close to a stop the car would jerk when the transmission shifts to 1 and there would be a very noticeable sound, as it the gears were forced or something. Is any other 2010 owners noticing this? Is this normal and should I be concerned?
Thanks in advance!

doesn't sound normal at all... I'd take it in before things get worse!

Do you hear the gears engaging though? And it's only during M mode... I get mine regardless of which mode it's in.
Interestingly enough, this happens only on cold days. When it was warming, like last week, this problem seemed to dissappear. But now that it's cold again, it's coming back up....

I have a 2010 GX Sport Auto with 8,000 kms on it and I've never had an issue like this. Bring it in as soon as you can because you don't want the transmission to blow in the middle of nowhere and strand you there.
