Well this summer I plan on doing a few mods to my 05 gt 3. I plan on doing an exhasut, air intake, and also, headers. I was thinking of going Vibrant exhaust, however I was wondering what you guys think? Is Vibrant good? has any one used Vibrant before? Also, any other mods do you think I may be missing and products you sugest

Lots of people run the Vibrant cat-back exhaust and headers. Be forewarned that your car will be LOUD!

How loud are we talking? Like, possibly getting ticket from the cops? If not, what type of exhaust system that give a relay nice growl, but won't get me in-trouble.
can't go wrong with borla :) I'm debating between vibrant and borla right now
also, if you go on to youtube and search for soundclips of various exhaust systems on a 3 you can get an idea of what they'll sound like

+1 for the Borla. You spend a bit more but it sounds amazing. Love mine so of course I'm biased! Come to a meet and hear the different CBE before making your decision.

If you run a header on any CBE, yes you definitely will. Vibrant Ultra Quitet Resonator is a must to get.
and IMO, Vibrant CBE drones rather too much...not a fan...

Really??!!... are you serious Johnny ?
... and under what law/bylaw can one receive a ticket? It's not that I don't believe you, but have you heard some Harleys lately?
I intend on installing a MSDS 4 to 1 header and a Vibrant CBE, so I am extremely curious.

Yeah, but the cops would rather pull over 4 wheels more than 2, not fair, but thats just the way they are, and i've even got pulled over too...

some can be pricks and it just happened that there's one waiting when Johny ripped it... I think that was in Markham too, right Johny?
you'll get hit with "Disturbing the peace", even you can call the cops if your neighbor is too loud or shows some unacceptable behavior towards you.
and no, it doesn't constitute to a driving offense. a warning maybe, or some penalty, or even taken into custody is worse cases.

I got a ticket for my exhaust being too loud and I have a full Vibrant setup headers back including the UQR (still damn loud, don't think that the UQR will actually make it anywhere near quiet). The cop claimed he could hear my 'muffler' over the 'roar of his V8 engine' (his words exactly). Made me sit in my car for literally 30 minutes after interrogating me for 15. Finally came back and gave me an 'improper muffler' ticket. Got a court date for that one on April 27th. Gonna have to drive up to Waterloo just to fight the BS ticket.

That is exactly why I'm not 'citified'.
I moved from my 'home base' on the south shore of Montreal to Ontario in '86. It was at the height of the construction boom and the fact that there was a .05% vacancy rate I could only find a shared accomodation (in Clarkson) with a Scotsman. My wife had to wait back home. Ray and I were having a beer on his back deck, surrounded by a 6' fence.
Suddenly there was a knock at the front door. We mosied on through the house to meet two Peel police officers at the front door, who graciously informed us that they were going to give us a break and not charge us with 'drinking out of residence', as long as we brought our beverages inside. It appears a neighbour complained.
I also found out later that one was not allowed to have a clothesline as well. Spider web affairs were OK as long as they did not excede the height of the fence and were opened after 9:00 am and folded up before 5:00 pm. Couldn't even air your laundry, show off your wifes panies in public, your gaunchies, jeans, t-shirts, bed linen, or even a pair of clean socks in public. Garbage had to be put out no 'earlier' than a specific hour and had to be in nuclear-proof containers of no less than two approved designated colours in a specific location measured from the curb, or the garbage would not be picked up and a citation would be issued. WTF???
I decided at that point that I would only live rural in this puckered-assed province. Ray moved back to Dundee, Scotland, within two years. Thank you, Ethel.
My nearest neighbours are about 1 km down the road on either side, and unless the cows in the pasture out front have cell phones, it's all good. I take summer showers with the hose, naked in my back yard. My back yard is 50 acres. I have a burn barrel and a fire pit. I do wheelies with my four wheeler when and where I want. I do burn-outs with my muscle car, and will one day with my Mazda, on the road in front of my house. I am a licensed carpenter and I have an honours degree in Env. Management. I hunt deer and turkeys off of my side deck, and actually have to walk 200 meters to hunt for ducks, geese, quail, and partridge. I am friends with the CO. I have trails. I cut and split my own wood. I manage the forest and wetland. I upgrade and fix my house and outbuildings on my own. I have a 1 1/2 car garage where I do my own repairs and mods. I rely on no one for help. I rely on everyone for new knowledge. I love it when someone chips in. I have a beer fridge. I have seen one cop car on this road in the 10 years of living here, and that was in year one. I obey the law when I'm in town and don't show off there, no matter how loud I am egged on to do a burnout in my 442. I drive 10 kph above the speed limit everywhere except school zones, and 20kph above the speed limit on the 401; sometimes 27 kph just to keep up with traffic.
Let 'r rip!
As for Ontario and the Big Smoke:
Mon grandpére, Joseph Drouin, a master carpenter, who kicked the bucket at 96 first told me when I was at the tender age of 5 and reminded me for many years, "Life is too damn short for meddling in other's affairs if they don't concern or 'harm you'; don't argue, fight, or cry over a woman as there are more fish in the sea. Respect your woman and she will respect and love you. Love children and respect your elders, pay attention to both and you'll learn something new every day, otherwise it is not worth waking up. Take care and take pride in your own no matter how insignificant it may be and your possessions will always become more valuable with time. Don't hate anyone as it takes away your life energy. Be courteous to others, be vociferous and firm, but not rude. Don't lie, don't steal, and try not to pay too much in taxes, and you'll get along just fine. Take educated risks, as it's OK to make mistakes since a wise man learns from them; a fool doesn't. If you do something, do it with pride and put 'your' name on it. Oh! And always measure twice and cut once."
Words to live by.

Hell of a story and the ending sounds almost exactly like what my dad says me!
Guessing that was a quick, errr.... long rant on how stupid some of our laws are.

Pretty much. Every time a new law is created, a smidgen of our freedom of choice is taken away. Granted, some people need laws just so they can tell the difference between night and day, but ....
Imagine, laws that pertain to drying your laundry; how freakin' retarded is that.
No, no, no, can't use Mother Nature and dry them on a line; you must use your electric clothes dryer.
Wait, wait, wait.... you have to reduce energy consumption.
Duh. The sun is free, bureaucratic morons.
Sorry I hijacked the thread. I'll leave now...

Don't have neighbours. My neighbours are a half mile away on each side. I have cows across the road out front. They don't have cell phones.
No problem.

The ticket is disterbing the peace. As well the stuff about laundry and whatnot, those are not "laws", they are city by-laws. If a cop is coming to your house to harass you about a city "by-law" then they seriously have nothing better to do.

Except, my ticket was neither for 'Disturbing the peace' nor for 'Excessive noise'. It was written up for an 'improper muffler' when my muffler and exhaust system (Vibrant) is perfectly legal. Bored cops trying to fill their quota unable to get me for anythng else.
