A man has been charged with impaired driving and is lucky to be alive after crashing his car underneath a transport truck in Rexdale.


Police were called to the intersection of Martin Grove Road and Belfield Road just after midnight Thursday after a car became lodged under a transport truck.

The driver slightly hurt his hand but escaped serious injury, police say.

The car was so badly stuck under the tractor trailer that a heavy tow was called to lift the truck off the car.
