05 Mazda 3

Hey just got my mazda 3 yesterday!
took forever to find the perfect one!
Already have a problem though...where can i get a spare key it only came with one and candiantire/home depot etc said they cant copy it there.

By the way, did your dealership tell you there's definitely only one key? Cuz the dealership I got my car from said they might have two but couldn't remember :loco I kept pushing them to look for it and a week later they had found it! It's pretty expensive to get one made but the only place I think you can do it is at a dealership... I think there's a security chip in it or something, not sure.

Yea they said that they dont remember if there was 2 but their gunna check
they checked when i picked up the car yesterday but couldnt find one, i guess im just gunna have to bug them for it

Keep bugging them... I wouldn't accept it, especially from a Dealership.
If they don't find it, have them purchase you a new key.

if it was bought at a dealer id make sure they gaveu 2 i had to get anew key made, its pretty damn expensive

As for the key, if they really can't find another one, try to get them to at least pay for a bit of it.


If you have only one key and one remote, you'll need to pay for one extra key, at least:

$15~ for uncut transponder key on ebay,
$120~ to get key cut and programmed

yea it was a used car dealer not the mazda dealer..im gunna call them tomorrow
another thing why is the rearview mirror so small, is everyones like that or just mine?
