I purchased the K&N Typhon it's a two piece kit, can be SRI one piece or CAI both pieces when the cars out of warranty I'll remove the lower stock intake and make it CAI for summer maybe switch it back to SRI for winter, slush and snow. If the motor blows up right back to stock, half an hours to an hours work.:chuckle

My car came with the K&N Typhoon intake on it already and I noticed it was 2 pieces (I had to fix the connecting piece as it was coming off) but I never really thought about it being both SRI and CAI. I find that a CAI is perfectly fine in winter...you're more likely to get a CEL/Hydrolock in spring/summer/fall when the precipitation is water (rain) and not snow. I've only ever had problems in heavy rain, never in even the heaviest or deepest snow.

Looks nobody uses the Ram-Air... From this website "http://www.autoexe.co.jp/english/car/Axela%28BK%29/bk02.html" on Cardinal's thread in Appearance, this site have lots of great stuff for M3, but it's in Japan...

And I want to know where did you guys get your mod parts for your ride? I mean locally. My last SRI was bought from the states. But while shipped by UPS to me, I was so bad luck that the Canadian custom charged me a 100% tax for it. Since that, I am afraid to buying any big size package from the states.

I've gotten all my mod parts from Peter at Nextmod, and I'll probably get all of them from there in the future as well. Great service and great prices

I visited Peter's website, I thought he only doing body kits... isn't it true? I think right now I will need an air intake upgrade first~

i had a CAI on my car for 2 yrs now, high end rpms are faster but SRI has faster throttle response, it really depends on what you want
