:bang OK so 1. my headlights/fog lights keep on burning. 2.My Driver-side window only goes up when i put up the front passenger window. 3. when get in the car and i open the passenger door the door-lock goes click! click! click! click! click! click! click! click! until i put the keys in the ignition then it stops. 4. the drivers door does not lock manually or with the keys it just wont lock(if opened after locked the alarm just goes off). i have taken the car back to the Mazda dealership and the people there replaced my lights but after burning again i realize there is another problem. if u see a Grey Mazda three hi beaming its probably me trying to not get a ticket for a burnt head light.PLEASE if you guys have any idea give me a hand!! i took out the burnt light from the projectors and the black part that connects to the wiring harness seems to have melted a little.

BTW I've been wanting to get HIDs so bad but i don't cause im scared they are just going to burn.

Did you buy the car new or used. Assuming used, did you check for any accident history?

PJB is shot.

Well, there might be another source to the problem. But so many things wrong... and all of them controlled by the PJB............

Edit: PJB = car's body computer, controls everything un-related to engine management.

would the PJB be expensive to replace? also the lightbulb is still good and when replaced works for a bit and then boom lol

I think, bulbs are blowing because there is too high charging voltage from alternator.
Alternator is managed by powertrain control module(PCM), it would be better to check the alternator and how it charge the battery first. In another way you are risking by second PJB.

I've got similar electrical ghosts to chase:

1. Driver's Headlight burns out every 3 months
2. Airbag light stayed on for about a week (only while car was running) now it's fine.
3. Driver's power lock stopped working
4. Rough idle - I'm cleaning the TB this weekend though, car just broke 100,000.

Anyone think these could be the PJB? (not the rough idle, but the others)

Oh yeah...my battery and alternator seem fine...running about 13.5V checked it last weekend.

sounds to me you guys have a bad pjb and if you call your local wreckers i am sure they will be able to help you out with one for around 200-300$ Or if you have the cash go to the dealer they are roughly 1000$
