Heh, my main gripes with the whole movement is that people are spending so much money on this bogus 'stance' while our local grassroots-motorsports sort of dwindle and stay the same year after year, while I can only watch the clubs down in the states with envy .
So much money being spent on sitting pretty, while the roads are still filled with bad drivers, drivers that speed way in excess, and a lack of awareness that cheap sports like autox are plentiful in the local area.

Nevermind the ridiculous cars with absolutely scary stretches on tires, nasty mega-thin-walled tires that I'd be more afraid of puncturing vs a condom. LOL

Speak for yourself, we had to cap entries for autoslalom events here in Ottawa because we'd have 120 cars show up. That's just too many cars!

I see your point with the stance thing with concern to safety etc.
But honestly I had no idea what "murdered out" was and had to Google some images. I gotta say I think it looks pretty hot. And doing this shouldn't affect safety in any way unless people get carried away with tinting lights too dark.

Edit: Unless I read into this wrong and the sig just portrays the fact that the other 3 "fads" have "died" off and you're impatiently waiting for "hellaflush" to do the same.

Call me old school/geezer/uncool, but I will, and will always try to dissuade my friends not to follow this fad, for the following reasons:
- The wheels and tires are the only thing out of your entire car that actually makes contact with the pavement. Body kits, lights, spoilers, engine mods, I can care less--but when you're pushing the limits of THE most important component of a car, I'd sleep better knowing they're not walking on a tightrope with stilts.
- Manufacture's give a recommended rim width for their tires. When these kids start stretching 205/215's onto 9/10" rims, that's simply absurd.
- Again back to the tires, and hellaflush'inatics penny-pinching with discount tires. Perhaps overly cautious, but when one combines ridiculous negative camber and economically designed/made tires, it just doesn't sound like a match made in heaven.
At the end of the day, I'm just a huge advocate of "Do it once, do it right"; sadly, a methodology that is rarely kept in mind when you see these hipsters cutting corners and penny pinching into a realm of absurdity.
Don't even get me started on 'cool' kids speeding on the streets. :chuckle:bang
/rant and reaches for another beer.

Flush has been around for awhile. I think you have more of a beef with poke then flush.
However I am more interested in how you can help me auto x :)

Not a fan of losing safety for looks. Manufacturers spend millions on R+D for a reason, and put out guidelines for a reason. :)
Stop egging me on Fobio! lol....

What is wrong with staggered wheels on a RWD car? most come stock that way

Pick up a set of cheap rims for $3-400. Tires for ~$200. And you're ready.--you can run your nice set of rims/tires, but it won't be as fun vs a dedicated autox run. (No second thoughts on THROWING it in, braking like a madman, airing up the rear for some controlled lift-oversteer)

I'll be running some events with TLMC/HADA/and maybe some PITL and F-body.

some cars (corvettes, BMW M3's, Porsches, Ferrari's, Lambo's etc.) are designed for staggered wheels due to the prodigious amount of horsepower they produce...not your typical JDM 350Z ricer, usually with even crazier stagger than factory...guess what: the 350z actually drives better with 275's all around, so that the car steers properly, without too much understeer...
that's right...imagine a 350z with understeer...wtf?! it's cuz these ricers think that staggered = performance...and they don't understand the wider rears actaully creates so much rear grip that their car doesn't turn right...but of course, their excuse is, "I make mad powa yo!"...
Then you get the VW's with staggered wheels on a front wheel drive car...?!
The only stagger I respect: reverse stagger on a FWD car...skinny out back, fat up front...you know that guy means to go fast around the corners...

****en hell. Just when I thought this crap will blow over, the marketing genius, Mike, bloody revives his car. I respect the guy's ingenuity, the fabrication by those involved, and creativity, but damn, I wish it were in a gun to drop panties instead. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. Sick, but fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

I still have my stock rims with aftermarket tires actually saved them for track days.
Mikes car was never built to go fast or see track time :P

Dude, Rusty is friggin awesome! Love that car. Atleast he didn't do it to a perfectly running 5 series. I think I read somewhere that his car originally had pilar damage and was written off or something like that?
