I drive an 04 and I am looking at the HPS pads. I know the difference between part number HB478F.605 and HB571F.605 is the location of the clip on the rear pads. Just wondering where the clip is located on the pads on my 04 and does it matter where the clip on the HPS pads is located? I know the HB571F.605 is a special order item so I just want to make sure.

You could explain what you have found as others may have the same question.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but as you can see from the pics posted by MajesticBlueNTO, there is an old rear pad which has the clip on the back and a new rear pad which has the clip on the top. The old pad was for models from 04-06 and the new pad is for models from 07-10. The HB571F.605's have the clip on the back of the pad and the HB478F.605's have the clip on the top of the pad. In the end, you can use the
HB478F.605's on models from 04-06 even though the location of the clips is different.

I drive an '05 GT and picked up HB478F.605 for the rear.

should i get it exchanged for HB571F.605

which would be best for installing at home? me and my dad are doing the replacement ourselves

a slight correction: according to http://www.hawkperformance.com/docs/catalog-current.pdf The HB478F.605 is for 06 to 2010

Actually, they share the same share the same FMSI number, which would make them interchangable. But if it helps I have both styles in stock. PM me for pricing if needed.
