3 hours isn't too bad!

I heard people spend almost 8 hours on a car (CWP as well) to clay and wax!

Question: Was the wax that came with the kit enough to for the whole car?

The kits come with clay bars, not wax.

I saw this post in another thread reviewing the same product...
Oh ya that's right I polished before wax as the kit came with free polish lol
and then saw this one Meguiar's website:

Clay Kit includes: two 50 gram clay bars, individually wrapped & in a moisture-seal case, Quik Detailer for use as a clay lubricant, Cleaner Wax sample & Meguiar’s Supreme Shine® Microfiber Towel.

I'm actually curious if I would need a separate wax and polish if I purchase this kit...
Sorry it's just that I'm planning to do my first at-home-hand-car-wash and I'm very ignorant when it comes to all the various products and procedures...

I would suggest a seperate wax if you went and purchased this kit. Mostly because the Cleaner Wax offers minimal protection and is more like a paint cleanser which removes some of the chemicals that have perhaps adheared to the paint. The Clay will take of the bonded contaminents and the cleaner wax will get the chemicals that attached itself to the paint. So think of it like the clay removes the particles and the cleaner wax gets the discolouration in the paint.

i doubt it. the wax that came with it was a small bottle and i don't think it would have been enough to be used for the whole car. at the time i had a meguir paste wax that i bought earlier. another tip is. if you live near the U.S border. its best to buy your detailing stuff there than canada. they are a lot cheaper. down south

I waxed my ladies white hatch on the weekend, the rail dust was brutal to get off with the clay bar, i will never buy a white car, its almost as bad a black. I did my true red sedan in half the time later in the day, no red is nicer than a freshly waxed true red paint
