$2500 is a nice chunk of down payment on the next car...

tbh...this is the only out of my last 5 cars that doesn't have a moon/sunroof...I miss it too...

Strapping an 80lb sack of potatoes to the top of your car will be cheaper, albeit without the view and fresh air.

This is my first mazda without a sunroof as well. I would rather put $2500 down for my next MS3 :) or some mods

Yeah, my prelude and my civic had a moon roof. I do miss it as well. But I would never do an after market moon roof on this car.

A member here on the forum installed that style of sunroof on his Mazda 3.

As absolutely gorgeous as that is, and how badly I miss my moonroof... I'm sure as hell not cutting out 1/2 of the roof support bracing to put one there.

Never mind the price tag....:loco

That's some major modifications for the sunroof!

Glass removal and weld joints along entire roof, relocating support beam and removal of rear hatch. No wonder the high price tag.

But Damn, that does look mighty fine.

If you have the coin and love the MS3 that much why not?

DAMNNNN! : (

This is the exact same sunroof I have on my 3, except my sunshade is a bit different and so is my switch. I thought I was the only mazda with a twin-vent, there goes one of a kind lol

Actually its no where near $2500, mine costed me around $1500. Included sunroof, labour, taxes, and the best of all lifetime warranty. I got it done at Total Auto Glass and Sunroof.

$1500 is actually not so bad.

$1500 is reasonable considering the time and labour involved. It's not hard work just a lot of work.

$1500 I probably would have done it if I still had my MS3.

You sure? You sometimes don't even have money for lunch, lol

It would be funny if I return my lease with a Speed3 that has sunroof, I wonder how much they will charge me. lol

+1 but I think labour would be more with the MS3 because of how the roof is structured. I think one of the brace needs to come off in order to install this sunroof.

I was told that on the MS3 you would lose all rigidity and you would or could experience issues, such as doors not opn/close properly and frame twist, I wonder how true this is?

I think I would have some concerns with this too. Otherwise what would be the reason for not making this an option on the MS3 in the first place?
