New 2010 Sport GS - Graphite Mica in the GTA

Hey guys, Finally took delivery of my new Mazda3 Sport GS - Graphite Mica the other day. Got a standard of course and am loving it so far. My first time owning a Mazda and the quality is a big jump up over my previous Pontiac G5.

I plan on getting an appointment with AudioHeaven within the next week or two so I can get this thing tinted, will likely be going with 23% all around.
After that I'll probably keep it stock for a bit, but I will eventually be getting a Shortshift kit, new springs, and new rims/tires.

Sorry no pics yet; It's stock, you know what it looks like :chuckle.

I already have a few things ordered and on their way: 35W 5000k HID kit for the low beams, Yellow Nokya bulbs for my fogs, Shark fin antenna and I also ordered a black-out tint overlay for the rear reflectors on the bumper.

Eventually I'll get some rims (16's seem small for the car) and possibly an Eibach pro-kit. But those will need to wait a bit since cash is a bit tight right now.

Hmmmmmmmm dang it 23% tints looking more and more tempting to me everyday. This is mine with 35%, for better nighttime visibility, but dang 23% looks good.

I agree with getting bigger rims. Should also get 3M clearbra/ventureshield and mudflaps... not exactly the most sexy of accessories, but it'll protect that paint from chips.

And I'm waiting for the 2010 Rally Armor flaps to come out. Pictures of them were released a day or two ago and they look pretty good, so hopefully they will available soon.

I want to spray my emblems... You think I should stick with black or should I look for a graphite grey/gunmetal color? I can't decide... Having a tough time finding pictures of people with sprayed emblems on their Graphite Grey car.

I would go with a graphite/gunmetal color, something that blends in with the car. A member named BeEvil did something similar to those colors but his car is black.

Went over to CT today and bought some primer/spray/clear coat. Ended up going with a "Dark Spiral Gray Metallic", which is really similar to the Graphite Mica but slightly darker. I forgot to get some goo-gone while I was there so I'll need to go back again. Hopefully I'll get the emblems off today and start painting.

Got them painted today. I think they look pretty good, matches the color of the car (but slightly darker). I'll get some pictures in the next day or two when I put them back on.

Got my painted emblems on. Haven't done the front yet, still don't know if I want to paint it yet. But for now, I think the back emblems look pretty good. I'm glad I decided to go with a paint that was pretty similar to my car.

Looking great so far! I love the colour of the badges, but IMO I think an Axela badge would be perfect instead of the 3 and 2.5. Just my two cents!

But yeah I can't wait to see how great it'll look with rims and a drop

Yeah I actually just ordered an axela badge online, so once I get that I'll paint it and get the '3' and '2.5' off.

It's a bigger drop than the 2nd gen pro-kit, but not as big of a drop as the sportlines would give. It's somewhere in between.

The ride is surprisingly good. It's obviously stiffer and you'll feel all the bumps in the road, but it still feels pretty similar in comfort to the stock setup.
