So I was talking to a buddy at work who has a Subaru Impreza Sti and he's big into racing/cars etc.. and I told him I had installed a CAI in my car and he started going on about my turbo and the ECU and to make sure it's capable of handling the CAI and the increased airflow.
He was also talking about how closed lopped ECU's read the sensor's realtime but when your driving the car hard, it changed to open loop where it reads from pre-set settings for the sensor's? I dont know if this makes any sense, but he was going on and on about it and how I should be careful etc..
Anyone know of this so called ECU having a closed and open loop system?
