I have a picture on the below link (because I can't tell the exact rpm of it).
http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/zz72/yepyep_2010/Others/idlespeed.jpg
I find while I have a red light stop or something like running and stop, I can feel the engine shake one or two times while entering the idle speed. Do you guys notice this? Mine is a 08.5 2.0 GX HB. Or is my car's idle speed is too low? Because sometimes I notice while I stop, the idle speed is on between the 2 scale. And I feel no shaking at that time.
And last week I had been to the States and have my car filled with Sunoco. Then I find the shaking was hard to notice (while I mute the music and in full alert I still can feel a bit). While I back to Toronto, I filled up my half tank with Petro-Canada, just right on the next stop I feel the shaking again. And I try Shell yesterday, just the same. And I tried 91 before, just the same. But I didn't try the Canada Sunoco.

my car did that when i installed my sub. After disconnect and reconnect that battery, let it run for 5 to 10 mins , problem was solved somehow, i dont know if that would work for you, but definitely worth a try?

hoho... problem with the ECU again?! Ok, I will give it a try today~
But looks Sunoco's quality better than others?!

tried, no use, still the same.
While on Neutral, no shaking, idle speed is point to the second scale. But while running and stop, 1st gear, idle speed point to the first scale. While the engine entering the first scale, I can feel the shaking. But while it keep stable in the first scale the shaking will gone. Just shakes one or two times.

your idle speed is at 550-650
have you noticed a difference when you have the a/c on or off...

no a/c at all. I think I can try. But I think with a/c on, the idle speed will a bit higher.

500-600 is borderline MINIMUM. Feeling vibes/shaking at RPMs that low is normal. Your car is idling on the verge of stalling.
From your pic it looks as though you're maybe even under 500rpm. In the mazda 3 the a/c turns on and off by itself if you have the vent setting to defog or defog/feet. It does that to dehumidify the air before blasting it against the windshield. Roll down the windows and listen to the engine, it should sound different when the a/c engages, and that's when you'll feel the rough idle as well.

ennn... So if I set the vent setting to face only will stop the a/c to turn on by itself, right? But if the a/c turned on by itself, at least I can feel the wind blow out, right? But I don't feel that. And the shakes happen on almost every stop. Even there is very dry in the afternoon sunshine.
And when my car filled with Sunoco, the shakes are hardly to notice.

If you have the vent setting to face only and have the fan/blower on 1,2,3, or 4 the A/C will still remain OFF. So if you have the vent set on face only and the fan on at any setting, you should still feel air coming through the vents. Anything to the right of feet only on the dial will automatically turn on your A/C if the fan is on.
When my A/C is on, I'll feel the occasional vibration throughout the cabin while I'm stopped at the red light. I rarely use the A/C because I have to turn the setting on at least 2 to feel something. I usually roll the windows down unless its super humid and stuck in traffic.

With AC on, the idle speed will point to the second scale. And the shaking only happen on the idle speed entering the first scale.
Just want to know what's idle rev speed of the M3 of your guys~

I don't think you have a digital meter ^_^, how do you know is 700? It's on the second scale?! always?

It's always 700. When I come to a stop it slowly falls from 850 to 700. How do I know? How do you know I don't know? I counted it; 700 RPM every time. Believe it or not.

i find it weird that if my car is in neutral (manual trans) and im parked when i have the dial set to windshield vents it always shakes once in a while and makes a noise at the same time like its reopening (resetting the setting to windshield) the vents to the windshield or feet and i always hear the noise when it happens and the car shakes, when its the face and feet setting it doesnt make that noise and shake.

I'm pretty sure the shaking has been explained before. If we're lucky sas will come on here and explain it. I believe it has to do with your car transitioning from open loop to close loop, or vice versa.

same, and the RPMs seem unsettling at times cuz of the AC. for my car, wen its in neutral, RPMS stay around 700-800. wen its in first gear it raises a bit more, doesnt make sense why yours goes down though. are you depressing the clutch pedal all the way? that may be one of the reasons why its so low. one thing you can do is change the spark plugs. i remember wen i got new ones on my golf, it became a much smoother ride!
When I first got the car, Mazda Brampton told me that if the car idles for longer than 15 seconds below 600RPM, it'll throw a CEL.
Just my two cents, about 2 months late!
