Automatic (Tiptronic) Performance Mods

Anyone do any performance mods on their Auto Mazda 3?
Just wondering how the Vibrant or Magnaflow muffler/catback sound, mostly when using Tiptronic

I installed the mazdaspeed 3 exhaust on my autotragic.

Its loud when running on just auto - tip is alright. Unless you really can mimick standard timing in tip mode, it doesnt sound all that great IMO. I feel like a wannabe standard driver.

I havent taken the exhaust off yet cause Im 70/30 on the sexy cowl......but it is really loud when accelerating from a stopped position or going uphill. Waiting til I get a ticket before I take it off LOL

It wont sound any different on an Auto trans than a Manual Transmission.... You hear the engine, not the transmissiossn.

you hear the engine everytime you shift gears, of course there is a difference in sound. the passing gear would be super loud, and probably more droning on the highway

i have an auto and i have vibrant cbe and injen cai lol I love it, i even thought about getting a header

no i don't sorry, but it is pretty loud and when i do hard acceleration on highway i can feel my cabin is rattling due to the rumble noise..

I find that when i rev to around 3500-4000 rpm and i tiptronic shift it creates sort of a manual transmission effect without letting off the gas but thats only from 1-2-3 gear.

i can do it for 4th too but i only have a 4spd auto..if i had a GT it would make a huge difference as that has a 5spd auto. GRRRR :(

of course theres a diff. The car is always in gear. You hear the difference. Get a buddy's car and try it with your auto if you have an exhaust. for sure you will hear the diff
