Trouble starting my car

Hey guys i got a 04 M3 and lately i have been having problems starting it. When turn the key ll the way to start it it will justt makeclicking noise ill keep trying until it goes on a lil but i gotta gve it gas to fully turn on. My mechanic says its electrical would anyone have any ideas what it could possible be and how to fix it

If it just clicked and didn't start I would say bad battery, bad alternator, or the associated wiring.

Or if it's click, click, click, go away for a while come back and it starts right away I would start with checking the battery.

But if you can keep turning the key (click, click, click, etc.) until all of a sudden you get the car to start, and then it runs well, I would be inclined to thing the starter solenoid is flaky.

I doubt it has anything to do with the gas pedal. Even if there is an issue with the throttle the car should still crank.

it clicks and like trys to start and gotta give it gas a lil and it starts
but if you dont then it will die out again and the battery is still the same one
its 6years old

Okay, that's weird. Until the engine actually turns over the gas pedal is irrelevant. (If it is turning over and not starting unless you press the gas pedal that is a different issue.) At six years old your battery is almost certainly done -- either have it checked, or just replace it.
