New Mazda Owner, Question about Aux In and Ipod

Hi,
I'm picking up my 10 M3 GX next week, only had keyless entry, air conditioner and auto transmission.
I was reading the spec sheet from here http://mazda.ca/Configurator/pdfs/eng/2010_Mazda3_EN_EquipmentWalk.pdf It says the GX has aux in. I was wondering if it is available on all models and you can just connect your ipod to it.

Yes. You can plug your Ipod right into it. The aux plug is in the console. I tried it! IT WORKS!! :) WOO HOO!

It is.. you just need to pick up a cord to plug it in.

Nope, that's extra. Take a look at the sponsor section for cheaper prices for tinting (~$180-200)

:welcome smiley It's not worth buying the usb input for the ipod. Just stick with the AUX and make a playlist you like so you can just leave your ipod in the center console. :thumbsup

HI.. we just picked our car yesterday. We went with the iPOD adapter. Do you know if going with this disables the AUX functionality? The AUX does not work. Thanks

I have it on my 2010 (OEM Mazda Installed by dealer) and the AUX jack works fine for me. Just be sure you press the AUX button until it displays AUX and not ipod or the other input sources. It should cycle between AUX, ipod, Bluetooth, etc....
