Hi there. I bought a brand new Mazda 3 Sport GS with the 6 speed manual and comfort package. Actually I was originally looking at the Toyota Matrix but was pricing cars and the Mazda dealership was on the way to the Toyota dealership. I've had a friend of mine with an older Mazda 3 model and loved it. My cousin also has a Mazda 3 and loves it too!! So once I test drove the Mazda, I was HOOKED! I thought I'm going to have to get this car. My wife liked it and my 3 children liked it too! Test drove the Matrix afterwards, but still liked the Mazda. I will be getting the car tomorrow, so I am excited and really can't wait till I drive the car. I will post later with pics.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Driving it now for a few days and it surly is a dream. I find the 6 speed stick is very precise and has very quick throws. I did notice though that my driver side rim has a few scratches on it. Don't know if anyone else had had the same problem after delivery of the car get it home, and find there are some blemishes to the car. With these scratches would it be best to use rubbing compound to get most of it out? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Just get rid of them and get some good rims and rubber!

Since you mentioned the 6speed and throws, you should really consider a short shifter. I installed the JBarone SSP and the throws feel perfect now. At the very least, look into replacing the shifter base bushings. The bushings alone will improve the feel of the throws a lot, making them feel real solid. The stock throw is good, but it is REAL good with a little upgrade.
