ok so i am trying to replace my belts, i went to canadian tire and NAPA today to try and get pricing for it. both of them were confused by the number of belts we have, it looks like we have two(serpetine, and AC) but their computers dont have an AC belt. i was wondering if anyone has replaced their belts and how many were there, and also where they went and how much they cost.

thanks

Ugh, I just had both belts replaced (serpentine and AC belt) by Jimmy but I cannot remember how much they cost (it wasn't much though). I got mine off of Flipdady (Joe) at Mazda of Toronto and had Jimmy at Street Performance install them for me. I went through the same thing when I called CT, NAPA, and Partsource. Nobody knew how many belts we actually have.

Is Ajax Mazda an affiliate dealership on here ? If not, you'll probably get regular pricing. Maybe Agincourt Mazda can cut you a deal on them since they are affiliate dealership with TM3. Mazda of Toronto may be too far for you since you're asking about Ajax Mazda. I can't remember what the TM3 discount is at Agincourt as I get all my OEM car parts from Joe at MoT. But it should be either 10% or 15% off at Agincourt Mazda if you tell them you're a TM3 member.

Yes. Jimmy will be cheaper for sure.

Significantly cheaper.

And let me just make it clear that I do not endorse getting work done by Agincourt Mazda. I was assuming you were asking about the pricing for the parts that's why I had said if you can't make it to MoT, Agincourt Mazda will still cut you a deal on the parts.

Also, it was an alternator belt and AC belt I had replaced (not sure if serpentine belt is the same as an alternator belt... ??)

Call Bruce at Whitby Mazda! Way better to deal with than Ajax Mazda IMHO.
