What are the main differences between polished stainless steel mufflers and satin stainless steel mufflers? Is it just the finish or is there something more to it?

It's just how it's finish is done.

Satin looks better than Polished IMO.

honestly who gives a crap lol, other than your mechanic and maybe you, who else is gonna crawl under yer car haha. I'm pretty sure performance wise it makes no diff, it's just for like hot rods and what not where you would show off a rust free perfect under body

I have a stainless resonator and satin muffler. I don't see any difference other than the satin seems to corrode quicker.

+1

I had a satin stainless steel "performance muffler" on my P5 and same thing happened.

I didn't bother with the stainless steel since the placement of the muffler on our cars doesn't allow you to see it anyway.

If the satin corrodes quicker I guess I'll pick up a polished one.
