Very happy with Agincourt Mazda....Just got my Mazda3 back from them after they fixed numerous rust spots under Mazda's 5 year corrosion protection warranty. The rust & paint bubbles on top of the rust were in the usual places that showed up for a lot of 2004-2006 Mazda3 models, namely at the junction between the rear quarter panels and the main body, around the wheelwells and under the rear deck lid light.
Agincourt Mazda took some pictures of the rust and large bubbles in the paint when I first brought it to them and it took about a week before they got back to me. The estimate of repairs was about $2000 and they told me that it would be covered by Mazda Canada. They then had the car for 5 days to work on. I picked it up last Friday and they did a beautiful job, completely covered under warranty.

The kicker is that the dealer I originally bought it new from, Dave Wood Mazda of Newmarket, would not even consider fixing the problem under warranty when I brought it to them earlier. They said it had to have perforations in the body, which is total nonsense. You could obviously see that a hole would be showing up a day after the warranty expired.

So I took off both "Dave Wood" licence plate frames from the car and will be returning it to them with a note that they have lost a loyal customer.

What is very interesting! Thanks for sharing first of all!
Second - how such big difference in service even possible?! Are there certain standards all dealerships should adhere?
Is someone don't know better would think they should live with those nasty rust spots!
Anyhow I am happy I found this forum to educate myself (and stay away from DW Mazda even its 2min from me!)
Thanks!

My car was bought from Mazda of Brampton and serviced reguarly at Dave Wood Mazda, considering the original owner was from Aurora.

Note to self - Avoid DWM. The only DWM marking left on my car is the oil change sticker, which will be replaced with one from QEW Mazda once I need another oil change ;)

Wow, that's fantastic. I wonder if there's anything they can do for me.....
I've heard mixed things about Dave Woods. I can't possibly imagine a dealership only looking at fixing rust once it's eaten a hole through the metal. That's just ridiculous; why would you not want to fix it while it's in an easy stage to fix, instead of waiting until it becomes a huge problem that will take a lot to fix..... It boggles the mind...

I went in to get an oil change today. Robert was very nice and he helped me solve a suspension problem. Thanks Robert for not charging me extra on the service. Great work!

Mine has rust issue as well, and Ontario Mazda took 4 weeks to get back to me and said it takes at least another 2 weeks to get an appointement to the body shop + They will take the cars for 3-4 days and I wont get a loaner car from them even I have MAP. The service manager said MAP cover loaner car on mechanical repairs only not body work....so why is it different from a dealer to another???!
