2007 GS, 2 Litre. 95000km. 5 Speed.

A/C on, on a hot day, 2 people in the car, Dog in the back seat, trunk full of camping stuff.

Amazing day outside, sun, bit of a breeze, but Very hot and humid.

Stuck, In traffic, Attempting to go up The mountian in Hamilton - Bumper to bumper.

Needless to say, I don't like having to do 3500 RPM starts back to back to travel 100 feet all the way up the mountian.

Why? Lack of Torque.

Question: Timing Mod - Has anyone here done it, with VERIFIED results (Dyno)

I searched google, Couldn't find anything.

My general findings are: "Ran smoother, more responsive, more pulling power"
and then a few months later "Unnoticable difference"

So bottom line: does the ECU pick up the difference and set you back to stock over time?
has anyone seen a before and after dyno for this mod on a 2 litre? (i'd even take 2.3 litre, although the difference in stroke would make the difference a bit different)

I just want TORQUE. I really don't care how fast it takes me to get from 100 to 130... its the low-mid torque I want, and this car lacks it! I have no idea how civic owners can stand the lack of torque.

Thanks!

I have the same car and yes the same problems. especially with A/c on. Did you ever think about supercharging? F2 USA is developing it so hopefully they will get it done soon. Low-mid torque will be solved but kind of costly.

I test drove a fusion 3.5 AWD Sport on saturday. Demo model, got a 7 year 160k warranty thrown in, as well as tint and rust proofing. 100 bucks a month more than my mazda3... and a LOT more car. Completely loaded.

It was tempting... Espically for the dirt/snowy roads up at the cottage.

and I swore I'd never look at a ford...

they offered me 8800 on the trade for my car. 9100 with my alloys with winter tires.
