Hey guys, I was at the KC meet last week and I met with Default User and his black hatch. I had my springs/shocks installed like 2-3 month ago, he had it on for like a few weeks, and clearly his hatch is lower than my. We are both on pro-kits except I am on Koni yellow and he is on stock shock.
My question is, will my setup eventually get as low as his OR will I be stuck at this not so low height... Because if that's the case, i am thinking of swapping my stock shock/struts on...
Thanks,
Shu

I'm also running on prokits and yellow koni's. Happy with the height and no complaints. What are the tires you and default running on? Mine are 225-40-18's. Here is a pic of the height.

I'm not sure why my s-tech drop looks similar to Prokit drops.

the koni yellows are alot stiffer than the stock struts. stock struts are probably sagging a bit with just springs, while your yellows are holding up strong. your height is probably the correct height.

I was wondering when this post was going to come up LOL!
It's definitely your Koni's
I'm running original dampers which have sagged more than normal. Probably thanks to the fat Sasquatch that previously owned my 3. Even at stock height, ppl thought I was running H-Techs.
I just didn't want to tell you this at KC because I wanted to keep my 5 minutes of fame
But I'm probably going to get burned cause I know Maxda 3's OEM dampers suck arse, and I'm prolly gonna need to change them within a year.
I am also running 225/40-18's which is roughly the same overall height as your 205/50-17's
yet there was clearly a difference as we were ass-to-ass (no homo) against each other and you can see it in the rear step plates

And NOW this board will get bumped up in the google stats under other headings than "car" and "wheels":chuckle
