So I'm due for my 60K service is due very soon.. probably by the end of the week.
Should I get the 60K done at Mazda or should I hit up Jimmy since he will probably do a better job and for 1/2 the price I bet.
I'm assuming Jimmy knows what needs to be done for the 60K service on the speed3, but just wanted to make sure and see what you guys recommend.

I'm a big fan of Oakville Mazda (no BS, 15% club discount, best service dept I've ever dealt with), but if you want to save some money you can get the parts from Joe at Mazda of Toronto (15% club discount) and then go see Jimmy. Cash vs personal time trade-off.

I looked at the scheduled service maintenance for the MS3 and there are no real part replacements. There are a bunch of inspection points, replace cabin filter, oil/filter replacement and lubrication of the hinges and what not.
Other than that, I don't think there is much for parts other than the cabin filter and oil/filter.

yeah, exactly... your biggest expense will be a jug or two of pennzzoil platinum :)

Bring your own synetic oil to Jimmy, will cost you less than $50 if nothing needs to be replace.

Exactly, I could just pick up the cabin filter and oil filter from Mazda and then get some oil.
I decided to go with Royal Purple 5w30, although I see a lot of you use Pennzoil Platinum 5w30
