Is this for real? I know you can wrap things in your engine with thermal wrap and what not. But a turbo blanket?

I'm guessing these would be used for bigger turbos than ours or ones that generate more heat?

I would be worried about the turbo overheating.

From what I remember, it's supposed to act as a heat shield to prevent the rest of your motor and electricals from overheating and potentially catching fire

My friends old Talon TSi had serious paint bubble an fade on his hood, right where the turbo sits.

Our turbo is so far down and out of the way I'd be very surprised if the heat from it caused any problems. Mazda did a great job designing the MS3's engine bay.
