Just got my RB rear sway installed.... but everytime I drive over a sizeable bump I hear a clunk noise from the trunk. Anyone have a solution?

Mazda3forums recommend installing a cork board. Anyone know of a shop that carries it in stock?

You could try a craft store like Michaels. They will probably have some cork in sheets.

I installed a RB rear sway on my car too and I notice the same thing everytime. I was wondering what that was lol

i installed my tripoint Rear sway bar and I also hear that clunk. Especially when I'm driving in rough roads with constant bumps and holes

Did you check that your endlinks are properly tightened? When I put my Progress bar on I had clunking which was fixed by re-tightening the endlinks.

The issue with TP is not the same as Racingbeat. It is also not related to the endlinks. The problem is that the bushing moves within the bracket. This is an old issue that plagued RB for a long time. I was informed by RB that they changed the design of the bushing / bracket. They even sent me a completely new set, but the bushing still moved within the bracket. You can physically move the bar front to back when the suspension is sprung. I had one and went through the trouble of resolving this issue. Your options are:

1) install cork / rubber sheet between the bushing and underbody (illustrated above). BTW, OP I have this stuff if you want some. Shoot me a PM if you want to swing by and pick it up.
2) wrap your bar with electrical tape to shim the bar inside the bushing (this is what I did). This works very well, but over time wil cause the bushing to split. You will also want to replace your electrical tape at least once a year. I replaced mine during spring / fall maintenance.
3) buy new bushings and brackets (my final solution, which works exremely well). Prothane and Energy Suspension are about $25 a set from G16. I bought Prothanes and never heard another clunk.

Jason, what's G16? Do they have a website? Can I buy it locally?

Sorry about that, I meant Garage16. PM Rick@garage16, he can hook you up.
