View Full Version : Rear sway bars for 2010?

I've already put the car on the lift and determined that the 04-09 progress rear sway bar do not fit the 2010.
That said I want to know what my options are in terms of this.
Can't really seem to find anything on the forum regarding 2010 and rear sway bars.

Is there anything out there yet?

Hey Chuckie,

Yes there are. I have put the Tri-point w/ end links on my 2010 mazda 3 sedan and works perfectly. Ask peter from nextmod as he gave me a great deal.

I read about the tripoint but it just doesn't seem solid to me the way the endlinks are attached to the bar.
I'd prefer a one piece bar.

Racing beat looks promising. How effective are the hollow bars?

I think hollow bars are not only lighter but also stronger. I've seen a post on this before with very detailed specs and what not, but not sure where I saw it.

there's a sticky thread about this. http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?19352-Sway-Bar-Sizes

IIRC a hollow bar will be lighter but less stiff than a similar thickness solid one.

Wondering why the back sway should come first ? :) Peter told me that :)

I have the racing beat one, you'll appreciate it if you buy it.

Egor...ka, Peter knows his stuff. It's because we have FWDs and we get a lot of roll/movement in the rear.

If anything, the tripoint bar is the most "solid"

And it also offers the highest adjustment

The TriPoint IMO is the most sturdy of them all and is very adjustable, they have now tweaked it for the 2010+ cars and now works perfectly. I'd recommend it over any of the others.

I went with the racing beat rear sway bar and it works great imho. PM Peter @ NextMod for pricing. May get the front one later this summer.

you might have to pay a bit more for the corksport items, but I would definitley suggest to those who havent gotten it yet, the corksport rear swaybar. Takes a beating on and off the track and continues to function above and beyond.
