Looking at getting my car Krown'd but wanted to know the benefits/difference between that and 'oil spraying' Not sure the difference, and I have heard that Krowning should be done every year once you start?
Suggestions?
If you search you will see that alot of us use Krown every year

I am originally from Russia (not so long ago - so excuse my spelling :)) - in Moscow we do have way more salt than here and we don't do rustproof as often as every year as from experience it doesn't make much difference after all!.
But I do believe it's essential to rustproof a brand new car BEFORE it sees its first winter. Going to Krown my brand new 10 M3 soon!

This thread has so much fail in it i dont know where to begin with it...peoples comments in this thread = :bang
you cant tell me that u think an un-oiled car will not rust as fast as a car that regulairy gets oiled, thats by far is theee dumbest thing ever, any small chip in the paint (which you will have since rocks n shit smash up against the bottom the car all the time, will leave bare metal and salt will eat at that when it gets warm and unwashed (which it will, no 1 hand washes the bottom of their cars so its 100% going to happen) rust will start then its GG, if you oil your car it at least has a better chance since the oil wont chip off and its more coverage, the salt has nothign to eat away at.
mind you it still CAN rust, this is just to prevent it.
and also krown vs oil.... krown uses oil, they just have a diffrent compound so its not as watery but its pretty much the same thing, krown is just a brand, its like calling cotten swabs a q-tip or a cola coke.
Getting the car rust proffed is probably the smartest thing you can do for your car, but if you dont keep up with it or u bottom out the car and scrape off the oil OBVIOUSLY you are going to get rust happening.
Tldr: get the car oiled and get it done RIGHT dont go to a low end place or the dearship
*i find it funny Sochi is saying its not required but hes getting his car done ... :thumbsup

LOL, nice write up (and lots of flames hehe)
Just to clarify my point: I didn't say "rustproof is not required" - all I meant was do it once, maybe twice in a car's lifetime - doing it every year is pretty much a waste of money IMO.
But again if someone has extra money and wants to have showroom condition in 20 years - doing rustproof every year maybe is a good idea :)
So I vote for Krown Lakeshore!
Piece.
