I'm thinking about one of these as well.....do you plan to take it off during the winter months? How long was the install?

Actually I am taking it off in the winter months... Install was stupid easy. Having said that... if you need a hand let me know, somethings aren't everyones cup o tea :)
Did it effect smoothness at all?

Not really sure what you mean??? Does it have a smoother or rougher shift?
It has the same "feel" ..just more get up and go and definitely an amazing suction and bov sound, from what I understand it'll just get better :)

Thanks Peter... Now an exhaust system!!!! Asap!
I've found some performance parts can cause issues like delays at lower rpm in order to get gains up higher...not sure if any intakes would do this. I know the 'puter will adjust to the increase in air flow but it might have some issues at certin RPM's. I'm guessing not in this case.

Why you need to remove SRI, I have my CAI on in winter and not causing issue.

It's safe to leave your SRI in during the winter, I plan on converting my CAI to SRI mode during the winter months.

Just preference... I never took them off other cars I've had... I just found the swap so easy that I figure when I go to do the tire swap in the fall I'd throw in the old air box... Gives me something else to look forward to in the spring.

I'd think putting the old air box back in would be more of a pain IMO

Lol...nah... 4 bolts and two clamps... I guess its all ones perspective.
From what I put together for a long time (V22 & F-18 E/F) this is a blast. :)
