The metal ring on my shift knob is scratched to hell. The guy who had the car before me must have tapped his ring alot on it.

Is it possible to replace just the metal ring? To replace the entire knob is kinda expensive....

There's a guy on ebay that sells a silver-satin glue on replacement ring for the RX8 knob, so I'm looking for an easy fix like that.

I might even just dremil the knob down....:whoa

He probably hit the shifter with his seat belt like i do in second gear. i have a bad habit of putting it on once i'm out of first gear.

I was thinking about getting that cap for my RX-8 knob, but $25 for a little piece of metal? I'd learn to live with it or just get a new and heavier knob.
