Get Richard at StreetPerformance to repaint your side skirt. It will be cheaper than getting a new one, and he does a good job.

it happens. People curb their rims and stuff all the time. I think scratching 1 side skirt is cheaper than curbing your rims. but like others said, just get richard to repaint it for you
thanks for the quick responses people ill give him a shout, you guys think you and guess what Id be looking at to get this fixed?
anyone have their contact info?

That will teach you about going through the drive through :)
Protocol is to replace the entire car after something like this happens :) I'll start the bidding at $800.

You could have a go at it yourself. You can get colour-matched paint at places like car quest, and there is lots of good info on the Intenet on how to touch up bumpers etc. And since it is way down near the ground even if you don't get it 100% it won't be really noticable.
Worst case, if you don't like the result you can then take it so a shop to get it redone.

Id love to give it a shot at doing it myself and I think im going to look into that route a little more. Im still looking for quotes just to see exactly what it would cost to get it done professionally. Id be really nervous to do it myself, but you're right- worst case i can go and get it done proper.
I went to a collision place in georgetown that my dealer recommended where they send their cars and I was quoted 291$ Taxes in. He said that it is a 'worst case' quote, apparently their are some clips (i think he said 10) on the skirt that he said are notorious for breaking so the quote includes 10 new clips...2 might break or all 10 so he did the worst case scenario. Does that price sound about right?
It doesnt look like ill be able to get to street performance until monday...just wondering if anyone has an address or if they have a section under the sponsors area im not aware of.
Thanks for all the responses,

No sponsor section but a massive feedback section that has their address on the first post...

DIY is always key... Direction and distance with the can is always the solution... make sure you mask the car for overspray.....
Sandpaper, Primer, 4 or 5 coats. then 2 clears.

Lol! number two :chuckle but seriously, what RJ3 said would probably be best.

i agree. try some DIY stuff...should be ok considering the location of the scratch!
it'll save you some money.
but the key is to not to even look towards that part of your car after the patch work...since you knew what was there...your eyes will always go there...by default....so you'll gardually get used to it...(or atleast try to)
I hate those things....the only thing that comes as mod to your car...unwanted :bang
Okay so ive decided im going to this myself with some guidance from my pops who did this to his own car years back. I was thinking about getting my hands on a little air brush - thats probably better then a spray can right? Would any collision place be able to mix me up a little bit of paint? Id rather buy it in person then get it shipped from over the net.
thanks

do a search, there are a number of places that do this, and it has been previously covered. CArquest paint stores, etc.

Carquest, as it turns out, is quite a bit pricer than this other place that RJ3 goes to, for the same product - hopefully he chimes in. DIY isn't that hard at all, just need to carefully mask off the area surrounding it and make sure you do the prep-work.

Contact dark frosty or even pogi I think they may be able to steer you in the right direction for that
