View Full Version : Best Place to get Brake Pads
I'm looking for brake pads for the front and back of my 04 Mazda 3 Sport. Where would be the best place to get them (best price and quality). I normally stick to monroe from canadian tire which have which i never had issues with on my old cars, but 150 bucks at the moment is a little to much. I also might need to get rotors.
I know a few Japanese Car parts places in the scarborough area, i'm going to check out but if you guys know a good place to go to and save me some time it would be much appreciated.
On that note, anyone know of any guides online to change the brake pads?

forum sponsor Nextmod is having a cash groupbuy on brakes pads and rotors. For your 2.3 range from $220-370, various options available. Front and rear, pads and rotors(total package price, not including installation).
Checked around, i found a guy selling all 4 rotors (cross drilled) and Ceramic pads for $180, i don't need anything fancy just driving to work and around TO.
Think it's worth it to buy, or just stick to Regular rotors?

I have my original brakes from my 05 that I'll let go for dirt cheap. There's less than 20k kms on them. Let me know if you're interested.

I just ordered a set of hawk hp+ pads for front and rear for my brembos and goodridge stainless steel brake lines for a good price from Nextmod and it came in less then a week.
I ended up getting basic rotors, and Wagner brakes, but the people who sold me the rotors, ****ed up and sold me wrong sizes, i have only been able to do the back so far since, well i had so many problems with them and not enough free time to install

I just got a set of OEM Aimco FR blank rotors with HAWK HPS pads from NextMods today and got both installed. it brakes nice and quiet. I'll see how the rotors go with the pads.
I noticed the left side pad almost attached to the rotor which is very hot once park the car. No squealing noise though and the ride is smooth. probably need a bit break in for the new set i think.
