is this possible ? like adding in extra vents and or more powerful parts.

The mazda3 A/C and heating system is not the greatest. Unless you replace the A/C- heater motor, there's not much you can do. When I run the A/C, i usually close the vent pods and set the dial to the have the air just blow thru center vent.

I close the passenger side pod vent and aim everything else towards me. Also, I don't bother with the lower vents because I usually wear jeans and timberlands and don't feel the cold air on my legs anyways.

Simplest solution....
Jam a 45-55K Ohm resistor in the thermistor (underneath the glove box): http://img158.imageshack.us/img158/4939/img2900a2uo.jpg . The lower the resistance the cooler it is, but you run a higher chance of damaging AC system.

The problem seems to be with the 2004 to 2006 but buying another M3 just for an improved A/C, don't think so

only 04s to the very early 06s have a "weak" AC... most of the 06s and the rest of the years uses the evaporator core off a mazda5... it's so much better that some cars had theirs freeze up on the highway!
short of upgrading the condenser to a middle eastern spec one and better radiator fans, you're not going to make the AC any better

You can try what I ended up doing; wrap the a/c lines (two thick silver tubes in the engine compartment in front of the passenger seat) with reflective insulating tape. I have no data to prove/disprove if this works though.
Mine works great, over the past weekend my wife had to set the fan to 1 because it was getting too cold.
I guess I have one of those freak 05s with no rust and a really great AC.

I guess I have a half freak, lol. No rust, but pretty poor AC...
that resistor method seems okay, but don't want to kill it :p

Not that it's really a "fix" but I've heard that keeping the fan on MAX (4) can actually be counter productive on Mz3's with this issue. Something about the A/C system working too hard and overheating... Try keeping the fan on 2 or 3 and see if that helps any. I've heard this is what others have done in the past.
