on my facebook status i say i hate ricers. one of my so called friends calls my car rice? for what i dont know...he says that because i didn't modify my engine my car is rice with all the lights and body modifications. i wouldn't have spent 2 years and over $9000 on my car to make it look the way it is..but yet you have the balls to call it rice. he drives a dodge pick up truck. i mean have a little respect for the work ive done. if all you think about is wanting your car to go faster then your stupid. you will be going no where in life except 6ft under the ground because im pretty sure with one mistake your life is over.

Whatever, the term "rice" is used very loosly these days. I think I made this comment on another related topic before....... but there is a fine line of what people consider rice, JDM, tunerz, etc. It's all perception. Everyone has their own opinion of what each label means.

People have called my ride rice before.... and I just ignore them.... after I beat them up of course :)

man.. All our 3's are riced. Weather we like it or not.. i think unless we are doing engine performance mods everything is rice! If you own a ms3 might be a diff story.. But hell all most of us are doing is making our car look nicer without added horsepower..

Hey, people will say whatever they want to. We all have the freedom to do that. Best thing you can do is not give a $hit what other people think about you or your stuff. You can't change other people's opinions, so it's best to ignore when there is a conflict of ideals. Life is much less stressful when you don't give these insignificant issues a second thought.

I'm 30 years old and i've always owned trucks..this Mazda is my first car.

As for Phil who cares what people have to say about your car...Alot of members on TM3 bash my "chrome rims" but in the end who cares what they think of your car..you like and that's all that matters

Bleh! I'll be the first to admit my cars rice. But I'll also be the first to knock you on your ass for saying it out loud to me. And lately IMHO, "rice" is what brings the attention to car shows. Nobody stools over a stock looking import car. No matter how much $$$$ was dumped into it. Not once has a guy come up to another dude and say "nice ubcaps, bro! Those 15's?"

As for engine mods - 99% of the tuners with heavy modded motors don't track it anyway, so what's the point? At the end of the day, Id rather be a ricer than a street racer.

You can't seriously expect a truck driver to understand what's involved with tuning an import car. Just like I can't say shit about tuning his dirt bike or ATV, or skidoo, or Winchester.

We all drive rice, and it's just your perception on whether its derogatory or not. In general a ricer is someone with a import car and no real engine mods to make it faster, like the addition of a turbo etc. Intakes and exhausts are just for show and sound which makes it more ricer in the public sense.

I would personally say my car is super rice. A stock 2010 gt sport. 2.5litre looks hawt but is slow as ****. RICE haha

Ricers are people that try to make their car look and sound like they go faster than they really can. No one I've met in this club even dares to sport a car like that, because, well Mazda 3's are fine cars that do a good as is, and we all have functional and logical brains, and hate ricers equally.
