What tuning would be needed to do after installing such a intercooler?

I'll be using my standard blow off valve.:yes master smiley

Cobb AP for sure, They will probably have a OTS map for your mod configuration (assuming you have other mods)

I'll be installing a Turbo XS Knocklite Indicator.

As well as a Electronic Fuel Cut Defender

My question actually is would I need to tune me Blow Off Valve for "Over Boosting" or something like that?
And would a Map be necessary?

take the money that you were gonna spend on both those products and put it towards a Cobb AP.

Yo! This little gadget sounds amazing!!! Does it work?

Would the available maps work with a Turbo XS Intercooler, instead of the Cobb Intercooler?

Get the cobb SRI all the off the shelf cobb maps are for it or the mazdaspeed one, you should really look at doing something to the exhaust too to get the air out of there. I have a street unit Race pipe (deletes second cat) sitting at home that I only used for three months, that would be a start until you can find a catback or turboback system.

just for a guide

my 2009 runs about 225-227hp stock at the wheels, with just a race pipe Cobb SRI and upgraded top mount I put down 282whp (with the access port). When I reverted the car back to the stock map just to see what it felt like, it felt like all the power from those mods disintegrated. I would say without the AP those mods probably produced half the power.
threw on full turboback and put down 298whp with a new tune. if you stay within the perameters of the stock tunes you don't need to worry about custom tunes either.

The AP won't care about the brand of FMIC but it will care about the intake.

Thank you very much. This makes so much sense. I understand that one should get air in quicker, as well as out to make your MS3 really perform.

I would like to buy an exhaust that I wouldn't need to replace to upgrade. What exhaust would you recommend? As well as a downpipe, any recommendations that side?

Much appreciated!

I found a CP-E catted downpipe and catback complete used on the forums here for $700 and I would recommend that, you can buy new from www.cp-e.com and a bunch of other places.

check out www.streetunitperformance.com for a bunch of options

I ended up throwing a couple more resonaters in to quiet it down as the car gets a good bit louder.

I saw that, but the Turbo XS's specifications are a bit better, seeing that it's volume are much greater and the flow is just soooooooo good!

Now I'm just looking for a good second hand one :)

I have heard a lot of good things about the CP-E one, check out the pdf on this link for a good explanation.
