My car will hit 120 k soon. Im thinking of bringing it to the dealer for the tune up. Two questions: Should I have them change the spark plugs? Also there is this thing about valve clearance in the schedule. Did anyone have adjustments made for their valves or is it not needed? Thanks. My car is a 2004 gs sport.

This is what I had done by StreetPerformance for my 125,000km service.
Oil Change, Spark Plugs, Caliper Service, Cabin Air Filter.
Things like Coolant and Tranny Oil as well if you haven't changed them in a bit.

You replace them, thats how. 120k is a good time to think about it anyways, if you havent done it already.

At 120,000 km service the spark plug replacement is part of the service, as for the valve clearance check I have not seen a dealer that does it, takes too much time that the mechanic is not willing to do $$$$ .
It should be a straight forward service just like your 48K just spark plugs on top. Your coolant should have been changed at the 96k interval so that should be fine, as for the rest of the fluids it' part of the service to check them.
If we are a convienient location for you we can do the same service the dealership would do for a much better price.

then i would highly recomend that you find a local mechanic to take it to. One that you can trust, as you are prtobably better off money wise that way. I would still do my homework comparing the prices though
