Just bought a 2010 Black Mazda 3 GS Sedan, and am new to the forum. Looks like a lot of great activity - looking forward to adding the site to the coffee / late night blog read rotation.

Welcome to Tm3 and congrats on the new ride. 23% would look good on a black car. Also, I would definitely black out the reflectors on the back of the car.

Yeah, I'd definitely recommend 23% all around. That's what I have and I think it's perfect. Great visibility, even at night and it looks great in the daylight - good privacy. I wouldn't want anything lighter than 23% for sure.
Here are a few pics of mine with the tint, but it's hard to tell what it really looks like from pictures - always looks different in person.

You could see what they look like on a black hatch, after you finally realize that black is better and have yours painted. Boom, Roasted... lol

I'll have to get some new pics up - my car has some add-ons now and looks different. I don't tow anything - the hitch is only used for a bike rack.
