Hey guys, So I am going to Shinzo tomorrow and I am still a little indecisive about a few things. I am going to black the roof 100% and I am really thinking about doing the middle of the hood and the top of the trunk. Just wanted some feedback from the Tm3 gang to help me decide
Thanks
matte/gloss?
hood,roof,trunk top?

Just the roof, I've been thinking about doing mine as well, how much are they charging you??

I think doing it all in flat black would be sick. However, it would look even better if your lip was flat black too.

shinzo charges $150 for the roof, and additional $30 if you also want a sharkfin done. I called today, and am booked for next Tuesday. Was hoping to get in earlier..oh well.

Ami you should 3m carbon your roof would match your skirts & your carbon fiber hood
I think the roof is enough..

and btw I removed my sharkfin at shinzo before they could put the vinyl on, and there was mold under the sharkfin, looked kinda disgusting, had the sharkfin for almost 2 year I think. so now........ stubby FTW!

nope. Don't like the 3M Carbon for large pieces like the roof. Have something else in mind.

Gloss black for sure.
I actually don't mind the 2 tone when done right.

Gloss black is prone to lots of scratches but looks cleaner. Flat black if the rest of the accessories are unpainted.
Roof only.

Does the roof have to be perfectly flat/smooth for vinyling to apply properly? I have a lot of dings on my roof from hail, and for $150...vinyling would be a much cheaper option.

No but installing it will be alot easier if its flat, less chances of air pockets. Also, vinyl will not hide the dings.

+1 Depending on how it is installed, it could even look worse.

If you've seen Flipdady's ride... Gloss Black looks awesome!!!!!
With just the roof... Gloss Black, if you want to do hood and roof.. Flat black is my choice..
Good luck... BTW if you want to relive my old style... Ask Pierre to do Full Two tone... Ask him how it was when he did it to my car LOL
