Smugly driving to work a little earlier than usual and enjoying the open road, I got to the 427S near Dundas when I saw the douchebag SUV in front of me swerve ever so slightly. Just as I looked down to see why, I caught a glimpse of a a chunk of cinder block rolling towards me at high speed. Clunk, clunk!
Please excuse the picture quality, I took this in my parking garage at work. So pissed right now as there is actual fibreglass missing in that wound, but somewhat thankful I didn't lower the car, as this could've ended much worse. I hope there's no damage done to the underside the car...

Umm don't think it was the SUV's fault. Unless it fall of the SUV. That's why they say to follow at a safe distance right? Still this must suck. I remember the first week I got the Sentra I rolled over a tire fragment on hwy 7 and it made a horrible noise. Makes your heart goes cold.
I am glad it seems to be just cosmetic damage. It could have been much worse if the block was kicked up by the SUV. Hope that brick was removed quickly or others could have gotten more serious damage or worse someone could get hurt.

had somthing like this happen to me a couple winters ago, but it was a huge chunk of ice and it went right through my lower grill in the bumper luckily no paint was damaged but my grill had a huge hole in it. that sucked enough. i guess now your going to have to get a front lip?

sorry to hear about this. But at least youre okay
It's kinda weird though....that you got up and left for work early and this happens.
Why can't you just be late on a Monday morning like the rest of the world?

Damn that would ruin my day. Thankfully it hit the front of the car rather than coming through your windshield. Take it as a good thing and that your still alive.

man o man..thats horrible.
You know what else infuriates me, and what i have been through 1st hand on more than one occasion in other vehicles I have owned?:flaming
These float trailers that are carry heavy equipment on them. They are always plastered with mud and crap and once they hit the highways the stuff goes flying all over the place, and comes bouncing right at you.
Dump trucks too..same deal.
It amazes me the cops dont seem to address this meanwhile they will address the big issues like tinted windows, extended fenders and other life threatening issues.:loco

Gah... Nothing worse than random debris on the highway... The WORST is when you're behind a construction vehicle, one of those big dump trucks or something, that has clumps of rock-filled-hardened-mud attached to it, that goes flying off at highway speeds.

Sorry, I guess I left out a little detail about the SUV - it swerved into my lane without signaling, while I was still there so I had to brake hard to avoid getting clipped. That kind of took my attention off looking out for potholes/cinder blocks :(

Jason, like you said initially..... it could have been alot worse. Hopefully it won't be too much of an issue to repair.
Since it's fibreglass, I have a ton of bondo you can use :)

Hopefully the underneath is fine. And Good Job on not causing a huge accident after someone swerved in front of you.

:P Awesome, bondo-time!
Yeah, my main worry now is if there's any damage under the car. That second "clunk" was pretty loud.
