Spoiler removal on 2010 Hatch

So I picked up the Mazdaspeed3 replica spoiler from NextMod. I was hoping to install it last weekend when I run into a couple of obstacles. The most glaring was how to remove the stock spoiler?

Does anyone have any input? Any write- ups? Anyone got skills?

Assistance would be greatly appreciated :)

This is important as it's not just a bolt on swap, or so it seems.


You will need to drill a hole to run the 3rd brake light wire/harness through the hatch. Other than that, the rest should be a piece of cake.

This is some great information! Awesome stuff. I actually tried taking out the spoiler before I saw this thread and ended up cutting 2 of my fingers on the metal. I'll try taking one more crack at it before I give up. Then it's time to let the money start talking :(
